How to write a CV

What is CV?

CV stands for "Curriculum Vitae" commonly known as CV. It is a summary of someones personal information, education, skills, experience and interests. In the USA and Canada it is known as resume which is a french word.

How To Write a CV:


  1. Open Ms Word Select the format of your CV.
  2. Now Put your name on the top and a passport size picture too.
  3. Now layout the following things.
  • Personal Statement. (Personal statement means your name, address, email, phone and website).
  • Employment History, (Employment history includes the history of your previous professional jobs and your experience).
  • Education. (It includes your academic education).
  • Professional Skills. (for example: MS word, excel, spreed sheet, peach tree, typing speed and etc).
  • Hobbies and Interest. (Your personal likes regarding music, movies, books and etc).
  • References. (Will be given on request).
